In my master thesis, I practiced the idea of parametric design into this brownfield redevelopment work. By creating randomly distributed topographical elements and natural communities, I proposed a plan to reestablish an ecologically sustainable system with three functions: 1) treat the runoff from the adjacent parking area; 2) mitigate the frequent flooding issues from Cumberland River; 3) provide recreational activities to promote active living.
